Whistler is located right beside Vancouver, Canada and is one of Canada's biggest tourism spots because of the all the recreational activities available. Whistler offers skiing/snowboarding, fishing, golf, river rafting, and some of Canada's most beautiful scenery. Whistler Mountain is one of the world's largest year-round mountain resorts. In the winter, the mountains are ski and snowboard central, and in summer the mountains become a delight for hikers, mountain bikers, and rock-climbers. Whistler is going to be the co-host city for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games as it pairs up with its neighbour Vancouver to host. When travelling in Whistler there are so many cool tours for you to take part in on the mountain. You can do glacier walks, where you travel in groups trekking up the mountain, or glacier safaris in SUVs. One of the most breathtaking and exhilarating experiences you can have in the world is going on Whistler's zip lines. They have amazing trips through old forestry on steel zip lines or you can go on a very fast ride down the mountain in a harness on a steel zip line.
In the summer and winter, there are many ATV tours that allow you to drive the ATV on the tour through the mountain. You could peruse the Alexander Falls, which are located deep in the Callaghan Valley. One of the most popular trips and tours for visitors are the guided fishing tours up into the mountain. With just a small group you can hike up into the mountains for a day of incredibly peaceful fishing in some of the clearest waters you will ever see. Rock climbing and Glacier climbing are also two of the biggest attractions to the mountain. Many people enjoy the thrill of pushing yourself and using determination to climb and hike further up the mountains than they ever thought possible. Whistler is one of the most beautiful scenes you will ever see and is something everyone should see before they are through. With so many beautiful things to take part in it is no wonder Whistler is one of Canada's top tourist destinations.
