Whistler transport

Whistler is the ultimate place for skiers like me, even if you are not a professional skier this is a place you have to see in person. As Whistler is a ski city, it is quite easy to get around and a map is almost never needed. When you stay in Whistler and are there for skiing, you will have access to free shuttles from your hotel or chalet accommodations and there is no better way to get around Whistler than for free!

If you are visiting Whistler but are not staying at a ski chalet or resort than you can count on their bus system or cabs to help you throughout the area, although many people choose to walk in order to take in all the great scenery. It is quite a magical place and even through a taxi cab window you can see the mountains, ski slopes and the mountain sprinkled with chalets and fireplaces! It is like nothing you have ever seen.

When you arrive at your Whistler accommodations they will hand you a map of the area so you have an idea where you are going and can in fact make it to where you want to go without the aid of public transportation. Many people choose to stay within the Whistler village as that is where all the action is but public transportation can take you outside the village for more exploration as well. I found the best way to experience Whistler is to walk and take it all in at your leisure, if it is not too cold of course!
